It is the nature of domestic relations practice that, after a judgment has been entered, the circumstances of the parties sometimes change so substantially and materially that modification of the judgment is appropriate. Modification actions can arise as a result of many circumstances, including but not limited to a change in a party’s income or needs, circumstances surrounding a child’s changing needs, requests for relocation of a parent with a child, an inconsistency in the child support previously awarded and the amount currently required under the child support guidelines, as well as other material changes in circumstances.
The Law Offices of Miriam G. Altman, PC has successfully represented numerous clients in post-judgment modification actions. We approach all of our cases with respect, intensity and caring support. When settlement is possible, we work with our clients and the opposing counsel to reach an agreement.
